Rose Ann Norwood, Preschool Director

This is Rose Ann's 30th year at HCA. She has a bachelors degree from Florida Bible College and has been in Christian Education for 34 years. While at HCA she has taught art, home economics, kindergarten, first and sixth grades, and preschool. She and her husband Larry have been married for 34 years. Their children Maranda and Jeremy are both graduates of HCA. Maranda served as a missionary in Peru and now teaches Spanish here at HCA.

In her spare time, Rose Ann enjoys reading, making crafts, spending time with family, and taking care of the babies in the church nursery. She enjoys sharing God's love with children of all ages.


Jennifer Thompson, Hendersonville Site Director

This is Jennifers's fourth year as site director at the Hendersonville campus. She holds a degree in Early Childhood Education, and has been employed at HCA for 17 years. She has been married for 30 years to her husband Bo. All three of their sons are graduates from Hendersonville Christian Academy. Bo and Jennifer attend Bible Baptist Church.

In her spare time, Jennifer enjoys reading, gardening, and spending time with family.Her favorite thing about working with children is seeing the excitement in a little one’s eyes when they learn a new concept.


Laura Boivin, K4 Teacher - Hendersonville

This is Laura’s second year at Hendersonville Christian Academy and her eighth year of teaching overall. She taught at a classical school before accepting a position at HCA. Laura’s two children, Caleb & Emily, attend HCA.

Laura enjoys scrapbooking and spending quality time with her children. She loves that children’s brains are like little sponges that soak in more than we imagine.


Barbara Finney, Early Stay - Hendersonville

Miss Finney has served at HCA eight years with a total of twenty-five years in Christian education.She is a retired missionary nurse. She ministered in both Kenya and Israel for a combination of ten years.

Miss Finney has written, illustrated, and published two children’s books, Look What the Animals Taught Me!and Why Was Jesus Born?. Children love to hear about her adventures. She has a wonderful love for God and great enthusiasm for teaching children.


Tan Ford, Stepping Stones Teacher - Goodlettsville

A university grad uate of Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam, Tan Ford came to the US in 2006. She has been married for nine years to her husband, Keith, and has a son, Aden, at HCA. Before beginning with HCA, she worked with the preschool program at Goodlettsville Cumberland Presbyterian Church where she and her family attend and worship. Miss Tan has been teaching at the HCA Goodlettsville Campus for three years.

Her greatest satisfaction in teaching is watching the amazement of children as they learn and gain new skills. She enjoys painting and photography in her spare time but has a passion for the kitchen and loves to share her delight of cooking with friends and family.


Rachel Kremer, Late Stay - Hendersonville

This is Rachel’s second year on staff at Hendersonville Christian Academy, but she has been at the school since childhood. Her father and mother moved to Hendersonville twenty years ago to work at the school. Rachel is a 2002 graduate of HCA. She and her husband, Gerald, have one son, Thomas, who is in middle school here.


Priscilla Lockard, K3 Teacher - Hendersonville

This is Priscilla's third year with Hendersonville Christian Academy. She has a combined nine years of Early Childhood and Elementary experience. Priscilla graduated high school from Community Christian Academy in Kentucky and has a B.S. in Childhood Development / Elementary Education from Trevecca Nazarene University.

Priscilla has a passion for instilling a love of learning into the hearts of children through Biblical principles and fun engaging activities. She and her husband, Josiah, have two children and enjoy hiking and the outdoors.


Sonya Mussnug, K3 Teacher, Goodlettsville

Sonya has taught elementary in both public and private schools for 11 years, and is now in her 3rd year at HCA. She holds a degree in Elementary Education from Western Kentucky University. She and her husband Neil have two sons ages 16 and 11 who attend HCA.

In her free time, Sonya loves to craft, read, and listen to music.


Cindy Shewcraft, Tots in Training Teacher - Goodlettsville

Cindy began working for HCA in 1990. She has taught in the K3 and K4 at both the main campus as well as the Gallatin campus. She now teaches the Tots in Training class in Goodlettsville.

Cindy and her husband Jeff, have been married for 37 years. Their sons, Dustin and Daniel both attended HCA. She loves to spend as much time with their four grandchildren as possible!

Mandy Smith, K4 Teacher - Hendersonville

This is Miss Mandy’s fourth year teaching preschool at Crusader Kids. Before arriving at HCA she taught four years at another preschool in Hendersonville. Mandy studied education at Trevecca University.

In her spare time Mandy loves participating in outdoor sports, hanging out with her family and writing. More than anything she loves seeing students learn new concepts for the first time.


Donna Stewart, K4 Teacher - Goodlettsville

Mrs. Stewart holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and has 28 years of teaching experience. She has been married 27 years to her husband, Ken, and they have three children. Donna loves teaching and feels it is truly her ministry. Her goal and desire is to provide children a quality Christ-centered education and environment where learning is fun.

In her spare time Donna enjoys family activities, swimming, tennis and watching Kentucky and the Dallas Mavericks basketball. Her favorite part of teaching is seeing students get excited about learning and sharing the love of Christ.


Angela Vetetoe, Goodlettsville Food Service

Angela has been with HCA for three years. She and her husband Kenny live in Goodlettsville and have a fourteen year old daughter who attends HCA. She attended UT Knoxville with a business major, and has a cosmetology license.

Angela has been a member of Goodlettsville Cumberland Presbyterian Church for 21 years where she taught Sunday school, and volunteered in the Upwards basketball program. She has also worked in the youth program chaperoning field trips and has been on a mission trip to South Africa. In her spare time Angela loves painting andcrafts.
